Managing Director: Hammad Farooqi, FCA, ICAEW member
Hammad has over 15 years post qualification experience in accountancy and business process reviews. Prior to founding Azure Global in 2003, Hammad held a senior management position at Deloitte & Touche. Before that, Hammad worked for leading accountancy practice Haines Watts. Hammad started his career, training at a medium-sized accountancy firm.
Director Business Strategy: Bhodi Sunth, BA (Hons.), MIMC, AIBC
Bhodi has nearly 20 years experience in advising clients on business development and prior to joining Azure Global, was a partner in a 17-partner accountancy practice. Bhodi has advised and project managed numerous companies through to AIM listing and PLUS. He currently acts in a non-executive director capacity for a number of rapidly growing businesses.
Director Finance: Farida Farooqi, MBA
Farida brings with her over 15 years of experience in the finance and accountancy sector to Azure Global. Farida has successfully set up finance functions for number of different companies, including a NASDAQ listed software house, where Farida held the position of finance manager, prior to joining Azure Global.
Director Shared Services: Shahid Iqbal FCA
Shahid qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with PWC and was a partner in a 4 partner practice before moving to Canada where he spent several years within industry as Financial Controller / Director. He has first hand knowledge and experience of challenges faced by owner manged businesses during their growth phase. He is based in our Lahore office and is responsible for the overall service delivery to our clients.
Director Operations for Sri Lanka : Shamani Fonseka FCMA
Shamani has over 15 years experience within industry and commerce including companies in technology, leisure and hospitality sectors. She has managed number of projects for large corporates aligning IT and business strategy while managing Finance functions for these businesses. She has spent several years working in Dubai for a large international airline company managing IT and Finance projects. Shamani is based in our Colombo office and is responsible for managing and developing our operations in Sri Lanka.
